As mild autumn gives way to more wintery weather making cycling a bit of a challenge, well done to everyone who ventured out on club spins or to the Limerick's Live 95FM/ Team Sophie Mulcahy fundraiser. With the weather predicted to be hurricane force for tomorrow into Tuesday along western and southern counties, take care out there. Take no unnecessary journeys and spare a thought for the emergency services.

Darker days and nights calls for a reminder of the visibility rules – do everything possible to make yourself be seen on the roads. Black lycra might be more slimming but you can’t beat hi viz for visibility day or night. You might think you can be seen – can you spot the 4 cyclists in this photo?
