A fabulous sunny weekend..

The sun has arrived and to celebrate the Saturday leisure crew got their legs out to commence the annual strange cyclist suntan competition. Met up with a lovely group of tourists in Bunratty who despite our best efforts declined to join us for a cycle but happily posed for our photo. With more fabulous sunshine on Sunday with some westerly winds, the route was planned to take advantage of the headwind home so it was Gallows by Windy Gap towards Kilkishen and Quin before sailing home from Shannon. Gotta love a tailwind :) South Africa’s annual Cape Town Cycle wasn’t as lucky – check out the video to see cyclists struggle in the winds before the event got cancelled.

Massive kudos to Padraig O Connor for last week’s 200km Audax in Leinster. Great mileage for early in the year.

With plans now in full swing as we organise our annual Awareness Tour 2017 (Cycle 4 Sick Children) Tour on 21st May, we are delighted to be able to confirm that we are working with Enable Ireland, beneficiaries of this year’s tour. Some vital equipment will be purchased with the funds from this event and Enable have also identified some families for whom we are able to provide assistance in advance of our fundraiser. Put the date in your calendar – its always a great day out for great cause.
