Busy busy busy...

Busy busy busy this weekend and once again something for everyone. The Saturday morning leisure group took coffee – and I believe they did do some cycling too !. This is a great group for someone looking to get into cycling or someone looking for a leisurely Saturday morning cycle with a relaxed pace for everyone to enjoy and finishing up with coffee and chat. Cliona's Foundation Cycle Club drew a large crowd as always. Newly formed Mallow Tri Club's first duathalon was a well organised, well marshalled and great route. Congratulations for running a successful first event and well done to the first time duathletes Valerie Dunne, Brian Hehir, Gráinne O'Brien, Clair & CP Ducie.

Kevin Dunne went racing again this weekend visting Kilmallock Cycling Club’s annual event – as always a very fast and furious 55km route. Well done for hanging in with the main group for the first loop. Eoin Brennan and Kiera Nolan took on the 70.3 and Ironman events respectively in France this weekend. Congratulations to both.

With everything else going on around the country this weekend, the Sunday spin was a smaller than usual group but they got to enjoy sunshine all the way. Roll on next week for more sunshine!!

Race Around Ireland is coming through Limerick this Tuesday/Wednesday – a massive 24/7 nonstop adventure for those undertaking this route – over 2000km less than 132 hours. If you see them on the road, give them a friendly beep. You can follow them on the tracker https://gps.blackblox.si/race/rai2016

These are just a few of the miles put in by members this weekend – well done everyone whether you were on bike for your first time since you cycled to school, did your first duathalon, first race or had your first cup of coffee with the club.
