Happy Birthday...

Sportive season has started with a host of events on just this weekend alone with more almost every week from now on. We had the 2nd Anniversary of the Saturday Leisure group also this weekend. Declan returned from a mini sun holiday to be welcomed back by over 20 eager leisure cyclists. Well done Declan and his hardy group of helpers who have kept this show on the road consistently over the last 2 years and seen many new cyclists get experience on the bike and progress into the longer faster spins and even try a bit of racing. The cup of coffee and treats is always a welcome finish to the leisure spin.

For a dry day, Sunday was a particularly mucky day on the roads – not sure even Daz will get these socks white again but the mud facials will have everyone looking younger by the day 😁 Running and adventure race season starting up again soon with some guys ditching the bikes for a bit of Limerick parkrunning and Elmer venturing down to Killarney to the Hardman Ireland Duathlon. This week’s Wednesday Night Hawks begins the summer schedule with the first trip to the hills – Ballyphunta here we come.

Next Saturday is the Turas Na MBan event in Ennis and Sunday has the Salesian Cycle Challenge in Pallaskenry.
