As promised on Friday, we had a sunshine, blue skies spin this weekend. Saturday dawned bright and clear and prompted some returning cyclists back on their bikes for the 2018 season. A well timed mechanical at the start of the day meant we missed out on a quick rainshower as the lads sprang into action working on a loose cable on the rear derailleur. With emergency repairs completed, it was time to head off. Well done Cora – 35km on a fixie and no problems at all. Great workout.
A tough day out at the Audax Ireland 200km today for the lads who headed to Birr but a great challenge to have under the belt this early in the year. Massive congratulation to Padraig O'Connor who completed 12 Audax challenges in a row.
Coming up soon is the Pat Nolan cycle on 3rd March and the Des Butler memorial the following week. See posters for information. Check out our club website too for a full calendar of events – as we hear of events we can add them there so let us know if you are going to or hosting an event.
