3 mad musketeers...

Saturday’s leisure spin took a shortened route due to flooded road conditions but not before Clair suffered her first ever puncture. Help was on hand and we were lucky to have with us “3 minute puncture fixer” Philip.

With another very wet Sunday looming only 3 mad musketeers turned up for today’s swim/cycle through 60km before a puncture stopped their progress on the Ennis Road hard shoulder. No sooner had they set to work fixing it when they were joined by An Garda Síochána who took up position just behind the group and provided blue light shelter from passing traffic. All going well, and with repair time being verified by the An Garda Síochána another car pulled up along side, driver raced back to the gardaí and requested a blue light escort to the University Maternity Hospital Limerick for his wife.

Thank you to the gardaí for their assistance to our cyclists and hoping the driver and mum-to-be got to the hospital in time.

At the Munster Rugby vs Castres match today in Thomond Park Stadium were the winners of the tickets in our Christmas Fundraiser. Despite the bad weather and late start, the atmosphere was electric and a great win ensured the match was enjoyed by everyone.
