Dusting off the cobwebs...

2 fantastic dry spins this weekend for a welcome change. First up was the return of the ever popular Saturday Leisure Spins. Saturdays are a great opportunity to dust off the cobwebs and get back on the bike after a break, build up a few miles before the various events commence or work towards the summer beach body. Mind you, the tasty scones with jam and cream in The Hub afterwards might result in a negative training session but the craic is great 😀

Sunday was a cold and frosty start to the day and even with the spin set back to a 10am start, it was still body numbingly cold spin for everyone. Two distances were catered of either 60km or 75km (and for those who were delaying going home in the hope dinner would be ready as they walked in the door – a 100km option.) Well done everyone – a grand total of 1976km cycled on the official club Strava page this week.

2 dates to put into the calendar – the ever popular Pat Nolan Charity Cycle takes place early March for the 17th successive year and the C4SC Awareness Tour is scheduled for 20th May. More details of both to follow.
