3 Weekly spins are back...

After a few cancellations in recent weeks due to weather, it was great to have our 3 weekly spins back this week. First off was Wednesday Nighthawks using a revised route due to the storm debris blocking the cycle lanes on the Condell Road. Using the roads between Clonmacken to Radisson roundabouts the group completed 40km in 5 loops split into 2 groups. It was like team pursuits with group 1 pulling away a little bit on each loop but everyone regrouped in the Busy Bee Garden Centre Limerick afterwards to catch their breath, take the photo and share a joke.

Saturday morning leisure spin took familiar route out to Bunratty finishing up with coffee in The Hub while the Sunday Spinners started from Raw Cycles Limerick and took a lumpy bumpy 80km through Killaloe, Tuamgraney, Bodyke and home via Broadford hill. With everyone staying together to the coffee stop in Nilands 24/7 service station in Tuamgraney, the groups split into the Mad Hares and the Chasers. The Mad Hares had some lung bursting sprints with everyone regrouping again for the final few kms home. The Chasers stayed together at a more breathable pace and all arrived home safely. A great week of cycling with the only reported mechanical being a dropped chain and this week - no punctures !!!! Enjoy the bank holiday weekend everyone. Stay safe
