Another busy week!

Another busy week – between the 3 musketeers Kevin Dunne, Jonathan and John winning at the M&M Memorial in Shannon, Paul Ryan's massive achievement in coming 8th in the Munster TTs in Patrickswell, the mountain men of John Murphy, John Butler and Tom Kitt heading to a wet and wild Wicklow 200, the sun seekers Aaron McGlade and Andy heading to Europe via road and boat by cycling to Paris, and Padraig O Connor on a midweek break in Wales (and we thought Irish summers were bad!) Ita Browne headed to Rockchapel to support the annual

Twomey Remorial Weekend, while Loraine Cliffe headed back to her student days and supported the annual Tour De Gaggs - The Alan Gallagher Memorial Cycle in aid of Epilepsy Ireland by cycling from UCC Cork to Roscommon. With a lot of debris on the roads lately from general debris, there are also lots of twigs and branches after high winds and farmer’s sludge. We had a number of punctures this week and unfortunately a fall on the Saturday group. Please all be careful out there.

We are also finalising the handing over the funds from the Awareness Tour to Enable Ireland and coming up next Friday will the be Table Quiz in O’Driscol’s Bar. Limerick Smarter Travel's Bike Week continues this week and features a dawn cycle from Limerick to Lough Gur for breakfast on Friday morning. On Saturday there is a large club contingent heading to the Tour de Burren 60km, 104km and 160km routes. . Also next week is the annual Askeaton Touring Club's 120km event in aid of the Nano Nagel School in Listowel. Keep an eye out for the club colours on the roads this week.
