Sportive season has started

Sportive season has started with a host of events on throughout the country every week from now till next October. The C4SC gang manage to disperse themselves countrywide while still managing to maintain our 4 weekly spins. Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings we cater for the more experienced cyclist while Monday evenings and Saturday morning is our leisure spins at a very controlled pace suitable for beginners, those returning to fitness, looking for a recovery spin or adding a few kms to their weekly target.

Apart from these spins this weekend, we had a team cycle out to Shannon to take part in the Cycle for Ethan & MPS fundraiser. Despite strong winds a great time was had by all, excellent marshalling, food was top class – pizza, rocky road cake, pizza and cake. C4SC are delighted to be in a position to make a separate donation to support Ethan’s family.

Keith O’Sullivan headed to The 3 climbs cycle in Kerry in aid of Kerry Hospice and more of the team headed out in the sunshine to Keeper Cycling Club's event to try win the KOM of Shallee. Great week of cycling weather with a whole summer ahead of us.

Next week sees North Tipp Wheelers celebrate 30 years of club cycling and role out on the NTW Le Tour de Lough Derg on Sunday in aid of the Tipperary Hospice Movement, while out in Abbeyfeale the Annual Remembering Zoe Cycle Challenge 2017 takes place in aid of The Butterfly Club, and the Hope Foundation.

C4SC’s own Awareness Tour 2017 (Cycle 4 Sick Children) takes place on 21st May – please be sure to mark it in the calendar and help us support others. Keep safe on the roads
