And so W I N T E R has arrive – cold and wet and foggy. The leisure group headed out as usual on Saturday morning but it was a cold spin and road surface water made it a fairly wet one too. Still, another 35km in the bag and followed by a warming coffee and chat made for another enjoyable Saturday. The chances of a Sunday spin going ahead were looking unlikely by late Saturday night and so sincere thanks to our Road Captain who risked early morning toe frostbite struggling out of bed to peek out the window and call for a cancellation. Good call Keith – another few hours of huddled under the covers for the rest of us.
We were busy on another front this week with donations being made and equipment purchased for some recently nominated beneficiaries. More to follow once the final items have been handed over.
Coming up soon is the annual C4SC fundraising event in aid of the Limerick School for the Hearing Impaired in the Crescent Shopping Centre on 1st & 2nd December. Looking forward to seeing everyone there - helping us to help others.
