Winter coming, but plenty happening

After a busy start to the week with the opening of the Mungret Playground, it was all back to cycling again for the latter part of the week. Leisure Saturdays continue to have new members trying it out every week. Fully accompanied spins catering for the complete novice, those getting back into fitness or wondering if club cycling is for you - come along and give it a try. Many of our Leisure cyclists have progressed to the Sunday groups where a variety of different routes are used over rotating weeks. This week we started at TriBikes in Raheen and headed out to Askeaton, Rathkeale, Adare and home for group 1 for a 50km spin. Group 2 continued towards Croom and Ballyneety for 70km while the impromptu group 3 just didn't know when to go home and racked up over 110km. Well done everyone - cold out there these days but the weather is clear and the days are bright. Stay warm by wearing layers of clothes, stay safe by wearing bright colours and turn on back lights during the daytime to be sure you are seen.
