Big turn out

Another big turn out of members from the Cycle4sickchildren Cycling Team who joined cyclists from clubs far and wide at the 2nd PIETA 100 CYCLE nationwide event. Majority headed to the local Limerick event with a choice of either a 50km or 100km routes while Brian Dunworth headed out to Tipperary to their 100k event. Fabulous to see so many people out enjoying the events today. Great organisation and marshalling everywhere. St Joseph’s Foundation in Charleville saw Ita Browne breaking another few records on a lively 90km route while Frank Meaney headed to Kerry to tackled 150km with the The Chain Gang Cycling Club sportive.

Coming up next week a choice of events again – Limerick Cycling Club run their Autumn Classic with a choice of 60km or 120km routes around County Limerick while GIVING A LITTLE BACK in Herbertstown have a 50km event. With winter drawing in make sure tyres and tubes are sound - no one wants to spend unnecessary time on the side of a cold wet road fixing a puncture. Charge up the bike lights and hunt out the hi viz jackets. Lets be careful out there.
