Great weekend of cycling
What a great weekend of sport – for the cyclists anyway. Saturday morning the beginners group led out by Declan O'Brien took a 35km spin in the sunshine, fully marshalled and at a controlled pace suitable for novices. Robert Noone brought a big gang up to Galway for the 140km SKODA Tour de Conamara and all completed it with ease. Plenty of good weather and laughs with a few surprise visitors at the finish line kept the smiles on everyone’s faces. The Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare had good C4SC representation again this year – fabulous scenery. Staying local, the Sunday Spin gang met at TriBikes and cycled out to the Adare Alive event before taking on the 50km route and then a return cycle to Limerick. With new members joining the club every week, there is certainly something to suit everyone. This weekend Well done this weekend everyone – lots of club members completing their first 100km of the year, lots completing their first ever cycling event and some great personal milestones achieved. Well done all.
