The 2013 season is up and running for C4SC
The 2013 season is well and truly under way for Cycle4sickchildren (C4SC) with the first sportifs of the season complete over the last two weekends and the race season has begun in earnest. Our first stop was the Planet Tri Sportive which attracted good support from our club for the 100km route. The weather was kind and all our members enjoyed the spin. Well done to Planet Tri and best of luck to their race team over the coming season.
Our next stop was the Ian’s Trust Charity cycle which took place from the Greenhill’s Hotel and attracted fantastic support from not only C4SC cyclists but members of clubs from around the region. We would like to congratulate John & Oorla Cusack for organising a superb day and members are already looking forward to next year. We would also like to say a serious well done to our members currently taking part in the C4SC Pounds for Euros Campaign, who took part in the cycle, well done lads, keep up the great work.
Our final stop was the Donal Crowley Memorial Cycle in Blarney over 100km. Again we had a very healthy number of members taking part in this cycle, who had to suffer through some very tough conditions. The wind was howling all the way back to Blarney after some tough climbs. Well done to all that made the trip down.
Our Sunday spin covered over 70km and with all that’s happened over the weekend, it was great to see a good turnout. More of the same next weekend, 8.45 each Sunday from Delta.
