Santa Cycle and Paul Kimmage Q&A give C4SC a weekend to remember

Our annual Santa Cycle took place on Saturday morning December 1st from the Woodfield House Hotel. We had a fantastic turnout this year with many parents and kids along with our fantastic members and their families who all helped out cycling, jogging or walking the route and ensuring everyone was safe. Santa suits were available for everyone and this made for a fantastic spectacle with over 50 Santa suits leaving the Woodfield House Hotel at 10.30am. We would like to thank everyone that turned out, the Limerick Senior Hurlers and Sean Curtin for getting some excellent photos of the event.

Also on December 1st, we hosted a Q&A with award winning author, journalist and ex pro cyclist Paul Kimmage at the Woodfield House Hotel with guest MC Shane Stokes of velonation. We had a huge turnout on the night and it was a fantastic success, with a superb and insightful interview from both guests followed by Q&A from the audience. The club was delighted that Paul accepted our offer to become an honorary member of the club and we also secured the signing of Shane Stokes. The club are forever grateful to Paul Kimmage and his wife Anne, along with Shane Stokes for their fantastic generosity and sincerity to make this a night to remember for Cycle For Sick Children. We would also like to thank the Woodfield House Hotel and their staff for their fantastic hospitality along with a top class venue for the evening.

This was a hugely successful weekend for the club and we would like to thank all those who made it happen, along with some very generous sponsors who donated fantastic prizes on the night. All the funds raised will be donated to two local children with special needs.

The following slideshow shows some images of the weekends highlights, one of the best weekends in the clubs short history.
