C4SC took on Ras Clar and support the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind

Another weekend and C4sc were out in force once again. Rás Clár took place in Ennis Co.Clare and 4 of our riders took part in the A4 race with another in the A3. The route was tough and really split the groups up which made for fantastic racing. Unfortunately luck was not on our side, but our cyclists gave it everything with Eddie O’Connell finishing 9th in the A4 closely followed by Dave O’Brien, Paul O’Connell and Martin Waters in the top 20 with Jack Higgins competing in the A3 race. Great effort by all concerned, flying the flag for the club.

C4sc support worthy causes and our cyclists made the trip to Glanmire, Co. Cork to support a 100km cycle in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. The 100km route was an excellent one with plenty of climbing throughout. The lads really enjoyed it and the next Sportifs on the horizon include the Tour de Kilkenny in aid of Barretstown, the Trip to Tipp in aid of the NCBI, the national sight loss agency and the Sean Kelly Tour.

On Sunday morning more of the team made the trip across to County Tipp to take on the mighty step. As climbs go this is no picnic but is proving to be a serious accomplishment for club members.
