Our beginners spin continued on Tuesday from LIT and also from Killaloe, so we can accommodate as many new members as possible. We had a fine turn out for the 30km at both locations. The pace is steady and it’s all about getting people new to cycling out on the road, learning the basics of road etiquette and cycling in groups. All new members enjoyed the spin and we will continue each Tuesday at 7pm from LIT. If you’re interested in joining a club then come along for some fun, fresh air and exercise.
Our Sunday spin was a real test of stamina this weekend in tough conditions once again. Will we ever get a summers day. We headed out to Killaloe and into east Clare, through Tuamgraney, Bodyke, Broadford, Sixmilebridge, Gallows, Meelick and home. Well done to all who turned out and put in a fantastic effort.
Our 3 day kids cycling program summer camp takes place between the 2nd to the 4th of August for children between the ages of 4 to 12, at the Delta Retail Park near the soccer dome. Priced at 35euro each child will be fully kitted with helmet, t-shirt, kit bag and skills book. 5hrs cycling a day and if the weather turns against us we can take it indoors. Places are limited so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your child’s place today.
On Thursday the club will be running a TT from the old Dublin road for club members and friends of the club. Last week was a great success. Start time is 7pm. We will run a beginners spin on Tuesday from LIT at 7p.m and on Sunday our spin leaves from Pier One at 8.30am. Newcomers are welcome as always.
