Having Fun and Creating Awareness the C4SC Way
On Sunday June 12th Cycle4sickchildren held a Spinathon at the Crescent Shopping Centre. We had a fantastic turn out from the team and we received huge support from all the patrons at the Crescent. The lads managed to cover 201km in the 2 hours, well done to the winner Sarah Jane O’Gorman who guessed correctly, Bryan Adams tickets on the way.
We would like to thank everyone for their support, and we hope to run similar events in the future.
Six of our cyclists headed east to take part in the Wicklow 200. Conditions were extremely tough, over a very demanding route which has been described as the toughest sportive of the year. Well done to all who completed the team is very proud of your efforts.
On Saturday our cyclists met at Pier One for our training spin. The lads headed into the banner county and took on the famous gallows hill. It was a very enjoyable spin taking an alternative route, great effort by all.
Don’t forget our Night at the Dogs fundraiser, June 24th, tickets on sale from all members and now in Siopa Rothar and Da Vinci’s barber, priced at €10.
Our Sunday spin this weekend 8.30 Pier One. New cyclists are welcome as always.
