Spin and Win with C4sc
Last Monday Cycle4sickchildren (C4sc) hosted an Ice Cream Funday in aid of Down syndrome Ireland. We also had a family fun cycle. Thanks to all who turned out with their families hopefully we can run similar events in the future.
On Sunday June 12th we are holding a Spinathon at the Crescent Shopping Centre between 1pm and 5pm. For a €10 donation you get 3 guesses at how far our cyclists can travel in 2 hours. You are guaranteed a ticket to our big fundraising night at Limerick Greyhound Stadium on June 24th, but you could also win two tickets to see Bryan Adams live at the Marquee in Cork on June 22nd. So come on out to the Crescent on Sunday and see our cyclists in action and support Cycle4sickchildren.
Last Sunday our cyclists met at Pier One for our Sunday spin. The lads headed into the banner county and took on the famous gallows hill, not once but twice. Team kit was given the weekend off so lads wore some of their favourites. The following team colours where on display; An Post, HTC Highroad, Team Saxo Bank and Team Leopard Trek, which stole the show with “The Andy” pose.
Don’t forget our Night at the Dogs fundraiser, June 24th, tickets on sale from all members and now in Siopa Rothar and Da Vinci’s barber, priced at €10, best value in town.
Our Sunday spin this weekend moves to Saturday, 9.00 Pier One. New cyclists are welcome as always. Best of luck to our cyclists who travel up to compete in the Wicklow 200, this is one of the toughest sportive in the calendar year.
